  • Hattiesburg Zoo’s 2025 Zoo Boo

    October 24–30; 6 p.m.–9 p.m.

    Under the theme of "Zoo Boo: Where the Wild Things Glow", families can explore several dazzling LED lanterns featuring glowing witches, wizards, ghouls, and creatures. 

    Attractions include animal encounters, unlimited train and carousel rides, jump houses, themed food, and more. Tickets priced at $14 online and $17 at the gate for ages 2 and up. 

    Costumes are encouraged, and while it’s a Halloween celebration, it is not a trick-or-treating event.

    Takes place at 212 Elks Lodge Road in Hattiesburg.

    Terror Lake features a spooky hayride, a haunted forest walk, tons of surprises, and the largest maze in South Mississippi.

    Tickets sales begin at 6:30 each night Terror Lake is open.

  • Booseum in Hattiesburg

    Friday, October 24

    The African American Military History Museum will host Booseum from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Historic USO in downtown Hattiesburg. This family-friendly Halloween event features a scavenger hunt, costume contest, games, trick-or-treat tours, and more, with admission priced at $3 for kids, $5 for parents, and free for members.

  • Halloween Plans in Springs

    Saturday, October 25

    Due to recent events in Jasper County, the Bay Springs Chamber of Commerce (BSCOC) said in a statement local law enforcement has advised that no nighttime city-sanctioned events be held until further notice. The BSCOC has adjusted the following Halloween schedule out of an abundance of caution, chamber officials said. 

    The Trick or Treat on the Brick Street event will now take place Saturday, October 25, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. as usual on the Brick Street. 

    Jeepers Creepers will also be held on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., with the parade set to begin at 6 p.m. The Jeep Show will be located in the parking lot across from Bay Springs Baptist Church. 

    Organizers encourage everyone to come together for a safe and enjoyable celebration, emphasizing that “safety and precaution will always be our top priority for the community.”
